Celestial Living Adult Family Home (AFH) provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive residential environment for adults who need assistance with daily living, personal care, supervision, and other individualized support. Washington DSHS describes adult family homes as residential settings that provide room and board, meals, laundry, supervision, and varying levels of personal care based on each resident's assessed needs.

1. 24-Hour Supervision and Support

We provide 24-hour availability of caregivers to help residents remain safe and supported throughout the day and night. Staff monitor residents' needs, provide assistance when needed, and respond to changes in their condition or behavior.

Our goal is to provide a home-like environment where residents feel respected, comfortable, and secure.

2. Personal Care Assistance

Caregivers provide assistance with activities of daily living according to each resident's care plan. Services may include:

Bathing and showering

Dressing and changing clothes

Grooming and personal hygiene

Toileting and continence care

Oral care

Assistance with eating and drinking

Positioning and mobility assistance

Transfers

Walking and ambulation

Assistance with other daily personal-care needs

DSHS identifies bathing, dressing, eating, medication support, and other daily activities as examples of personal care services in residential settings.

3. Medication Support

We assist residents with their medications in accordance with their care plans and applicable requirements. Depending on the resident's needs and authorization, this may include medication reminders, assistance, or medication administration by appropriately trained/authorized staff.

When applicable, certain health-related tasks may also be performed through Washington's nurse-delegation process under appropriate nursing supervision.
